The Proposal

On a foggy morning in November 2024, James suggested they take a sunrise hike to their favorite overlook at Mount Tamalpais -- the same spot where they'd had their third date. As they reached the summit and the fog began to part, revealing the Golden Gate Bridge below, James dropped to one knee.

"From that rainy day in the coffee shop to this mountaintop," he said, his voice cracking, "every moment with you has been my favorite. Will you marry me?"

Emma said yes before he finished the sentence. (And then she said, "I knew you were going to do this because you voluntarily woke up at 5 AM on a Saturday, which has literally never happened before.")

They celebrated with champagne and pancakes at their favorite brunch spot in Mill Valley.
